Room "Gerstensack"

The "Gerstensack" (literally: Barley sack) room gets its name from the long-established Constance Men's Club of the "Gerstensäcke", established in 1862, who have always gathered for meetings in the Barbarossa weekly since 1967.

This old tradition and the meetings, which still take place to this day, give the room a historic and unique atmosphere. History is brought to life in a display if various scrolls and pictures as well as the famous and authentic "Gerstensäcke Chair".

Before the room was offerd as club room of the "Gerstensäcke" it was used by the Miehle family as their flat. The grand parents of now-owner Florian Miehle used to life here before they bought their house with garden near the swiss border. The hall is suited to cater for smaller family events and business conferences.
